We apologise for the disruption to our parking facilities. Unfortunately this is totally out of our control and was not in the original plans produced by Keepmoat. We are doing everything we can to improve this and are in discussion with Keepmoat Homes and the Landlord of Hebburn Health Centre.

You may be offered a remote consultation as an alternative to attending the practice in person. If you agree to a remote consultation the GP or healthcare professional may need to receive and store images taken by patients for clinical purposes; this could include images for the purpose of intimate clinical assessment. This will only be done in the interests of the patient where it is necessary for providing health care and with patient consent. The approach to video consulting, image sharing, and storage is the same as it would be for face to face interactions. If we need to store images on your GP record this will be only for as long as necessary. It is a patient’s choice to share an image either of a patient’s own accord or on request of the health professional treating you. Refusal to share an image does not prevent access to care and treatment or result in patients receiving an inferior standard of care. Further details about how remote consultation works can be obtained by contacting the practice. ”

Please DO NOT come into the surgery unless you have been advised to do so by a clinician or a member of staff, this includes for prescriptions or sick notes. Please do not attend a pharmacy or hospital if you have any cold or flu symptoms.
We are only offering telephone appointments at present to try and reduce unnecessary contact for patients and clinicians. We are aiming to deal with what we can over the phone. If you are deemed to need a face-to-face appointment you will receive instructions on when to come down.
All prescriptions are to be emailed into the surgery (Ellisonview.email@example.com) and your prescription will then be sent directly to your chosen pharmacy. Please note if you have not nominated a pharmacy you must do this before we can process your request. If you are struggling with this, please contact reception for advice.
We have temporarily suspended our online appointment booking system. All appointments will be telephone triage and managed remotely where possible.
What is changing?
From spring 2020, organ donation in England will move to an ‘opt out’ system. You may also hear it referred to as ‘Max and Keira’s Law’.
This means that all adults in England will be considered to have agreed to be an organ donor when they die unless they have recorded a decision not to donate or are in one of the excluded groups.
You still have a choice if you want to be an organ donor or not when you die. Get the facts about organ donation to help you decide.
Why is the law changing?
The law is being changed to help save and improve more lives. Every day across the UK, someone dies waiting for a transplant
We are asking everyone to:
- Record your organ donation decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register
- Tell your family and friends what you have decided
If you would like to speak to somebody about your choices, please call our dedicated line: 0300 303 2094
When is the law changing?
The opt out system in England will come into effect from spring 2020. The law around organ donation in England will remain ‘opt in’ until this time.
Who will the changes affect?
These changes will affect all adults in England unless they have recorded a decision not to donate or are in one of the following excluded groups:
- Those under the age of 18
- People who lack the mental capacity to understand the new arrangements and take the necessary action
- Visitors to England, and those not living here voluntarily
- People who have lived in England for less than 12 months before their death
